The third week of December shows significant shifts in physical game sales in the UK. The upstart indie hit Among Us remains popular, while traditions keep FIFA on top, and eternal classics keep selling. So, let’s see the Top 10, position by position.

The 10th place is occupied by Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This Nintendo Switch exclusive will remain a hit until the next installment comes; or so it seems, given the status of the franchise. Number 9 is Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, supported by Nintendo and Pokémon fans. Just Dance 2022 is #8, and no wonder: dancers always want it fresh.

On number 7, there is another evergreen title, Minecraft, which attracts more and more fans even a decade after the release, getting regular updates. Unlike Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition really had to be remastered to conquer hearts again. And, frankly speaking, it deserves a better resurrection.

Top 5 starts with Among Us: Crewmate Edition. The updated indie hit has what it takes to be a long seller: high involvement level and a supportive community. The sales of #4, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, are obviously boosted by Spider-Man: No Way Home in cinemas this month, but the game really deserves more attention than it initially had.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still popular, so why should Nintendo change a thing? It’s still #3, powered by Nintendo Switch alone. The second position is occupied by Call of Duty: Vanguard, which turned to be not that much of a disappointment. And the first position, predictably for the UK, is held by FIFA 2022. Both stadiums and consoles are subject to this national love.

Have you bought any of these games recently? If so, for which platform? And do you prefer physical editions to digital ones? Share your opinion in the comments, and we’ll appreciate it!
